Snow...finally!

The snow has finally arrived. Jess and I have been anxiously awaiting the real winter snow-fall in anticipation of the snowboarding season to actually begin, but now we have another reason to look forward to it: Playing with Mr. Mikey in it! After it snowed so much yesterday we went out and got him a little-man snow suit to see what he thought of the white fluffy stuff outside our windows. Turns out he loves it.

Mikey only knows how...or at least wanted to crawl down hill, so daddy had to pick him up and carry him back to the top everytime, luckily Mikey's body suit was strong enough to hold him! Then Mikey would just come crawling down as fast as he could just to get to watch all the snow go flying in front of him as he flung it up with his gloves. He even bent his little head down and stuck it in the snow for a second to see what it tasted like but I think he decided he didn't like it because that happy little face didn't last long once the snow got in his face. Unfortunately, we don't have a little sled yet so maybe we'll just have to pull him around in the snow shovel or something until we can find a really fast one for him :)

We also went to take family pictures last weekend and were hoping to get the changing of the leaves up the canyon - which was beautiful while it lasted - however, it wasn't "lasting" anymore so we got all the brown ones instead, ha! Here are a few of our favorites.

Update

It's about time I posted an update! I guess summer is coming to an end and I should post some pictures, eh? My favorite pictures include Mikey canoeing and Don hiking with Mikey :)

Don is still enjoying GoldmanSachs. He'll be taking another trip to New York here pretty soon, I'll have to post some pictures from his last trip as well. He pretty much spent all his non-working time at the ESPN Zone, can't say I'm too surprised, ha. Don is currently on a city softball team and he's been telling me for WEEKS that he's going to hit a home run and last night he was so pleased with himself because he hit a home run in the park and tagged a guy at home on his way in for a home run. I guess that's pretty cool in guy-world because Don got to keep the game ball.

Mikey is getting huge! His feet are so chunky, that they don't fit into regular shoes, ha... of course, I think they're adorable.... along with his oversized head, red hair, big ears and buck teeth, ha. I can't get enough of him! His laugh is to die for and he's SO ticklish-it's great. He's moved from the army crawl to an almost hands and knees crawl. No walking. But he does pull himself up on things.

Father's Day

So, Mikey is taking an incredible nap and I figured I could take some time to update the blog :) Alright, yesterday was our little family's first Father's Day for Don and Mister Mike. It was alot of fun. I've posted a couple pics of Don and Mike.

And Iwant to say that I am so excited that I got to go running with my sister-in-law, Kara, this morning. She kicked my butt :) We're hoping to run the Top of Utah marathon in September, yeah! Wish us luck!

Past Due

Well, there's alot to update on. We're finally living in Salt Lake, yeah! The commute is incredible compared to Santaquin that's for sure; however, we do miss our friends and the small town. But, the people here are really nice and we're loving our new ward :) Mikey had his first day at the pool! Okay, it was a little cold, but I think he liked it! He fell right asleep as soon as we took him out, ha! He also went on his first jeep ride, for some reason he loves to stick his tongue out in the wind like a little puppy. It was really cute.

Big Kids

Don and I took Mikey to the park on Monday. He LOVES the swings! It's a lot of fun to take him. When we go, Mikey gets to play like a big kid and so does Daddy :).

Okay, first blog post ever! I really hope this goes well :) Me and Mister Mike are just hanging out today and it looks too cold for the park, so we're gonna give this blog thing a shot.
